| About Insane Records Insane Records is a Corporate Independent label formed by Industry legend, Artie Mogull. Insane is a full service label with studios, graphic artists, recording engineers, producers, on staff Attorney, and administrative personnel. Insane Records International is a formally filed corporation with offices located in Burbank, a couple blocks from The NBC Studios and The Warner Entertainment Group. Working with Mr. Mogull and the seasoned staff is a small team of hip young Internet savvy individuals. With a keen eye on how to make money via the Internet, Insane Records is poised to profit. Articles about Insane Records have appeared in Billboard, The Music Registry, Radio and Records, and Music Connection. For publicity, Insane Records has promotional agreements with Rogers and Cowan and iMedia. Divisions Insane's US division handles Rock, Alternative Rock, and associated "Indie" genres. If there is a central theme, we like fresh music with older influences.  Insane's UK division targets pop/dance music for distribution throughout Europe.  Insane Records also offers a "Internet Distribution Contract" to artists that we feel need to have their music available on all the major download sites. Through our extensive distribution network we master, encode and upload music to all the major download sites. Insane also uses this contract to evaluate the marketability of new artists. Via tracking software, we can observe demographics and decide if the artist needs to be shopped to a major or kept on Insane UK or Insane US. Insane also uses this contract to make unreleased demos and live recordings of semi-established or established bands available to fans. |
| Executive Officers and Staff Artie Mogull Chairman of the Board - Now Deceased Insane's Chairman was Artie Mogull, former Executive V.P. of A&R of Warner Brothers Records. Artie then moved on to Capital Records, then to MCA. After that he was tapped as President of United Artists Records. Artie is well connected and responsible for the careers of, Hootie and the Blowfish, ELO, Kenny Rogers, Crystal Gayle, John Denver, and Olivia Newton-John. (Just to name a few). Mr. Mogull's career is extensive and includes licensing music for major movies, major publishing deals for artists such as Bob Dylan, and Lynyrd Skynyrd as well as promoting the artists under his label to top positions on the charts Stuart Collins President CEO Stuart Collins started his music career humbly enough as a teen singer in several English rock bands. Eventually Mr. Collins worked on a popular British TV show entitled "Ready Steady Go" as assistant to the show's host. From there Stuart started his own management company in London. After some notable success, Collins moved to America and formed a production company with his Brit buddy Hilton Valentine of "The Animals". Eventually Stuart went on to form SOS Music, Sunsetwest Management, and SBC Publishing. Bringing this diverse experience together, Stuart Collins along with Artie Mogull formed Insane Records in 2003. Jean P. Deleurme Executive Vice President International G-Money Jerry Mangalos Executive Vice President Administration - Now Deceased Jerry Mangalos started his music biz career working directly under Neil Bogart at Casablanca Records in the highlight days of Disco and the Kiss Army. Jerry moved over to Boardwalk Records along with Neil in 1979. Eventually Jerry shifted to Arista for a 19 year stint as Director of Operations, West Coast office. Working under the direction of Clive Davis, Jerry stayed with Arista until the West Coast office closed. Jerry now brings his years of experience and countless industry contacts to Insane. Justin Petersen Vice President A & R USA / CTO Justin started as a percussionist at age nine. At 18 he was touring in a pro Top 40 band. After college for electronics and computer science he went to work for a sound company overseeing the design/installation of recording studios and sound reinforcement systems, including The Armed Forces Radio Network and the National Public Radio studios. Petersen went on to become front-of-house engineer for Autograph. His live sound engineering credits include Rough Cutt, GNR, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, and numerous other bands. Justin recently moved from VP of A&R at Matrix Musicworks to Insane Records. Petersen is also considered an Internet insider and oversees the Internet operations for Insane Records. Paul Downing Director of A & R / Producer Hailing from Hull, Yorkshire, England, Paul Downing is a veteran guitarist who has played with the likes of, The Mamas and the Papas, The Standells, Jan and Dean, Herman's Hermits, and The Grass Roots. Downing also replaced Roy Buchanan in The British Walkers. Paul adds to the diverse talents of Insane with old school rock knowledge and a no-nonsense approach to music production. Matt Thorne Senior Engineer / Producer One of Matt's first projects was that of Bass player for the earliest version of Ratt. He moved on to get signed with Rough Cutt on the Warner Records label. After tiring from touring, Matt Thorne started building his own recording studio. 15 years later his recording credits include, The Eels, Orgy, and more recently the multi platinum "Trapt" album. Jon H. Freis Corporate Council Our on staff Attorney, Jon Freis, education and background includes: California Western School of Law, San Diego, California, J.D. Cum Laude, 1999. Academic Merit Scholarship. American Jurisprudence Awards: Torts, Property, Civil Procedure, Evidence, Constitutional Law. 3 Time Dean's List. California Western Law Review, Staff Member, Editor. Judicial Internship: Hon. David R. Thompson, Senior Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Andrea Ochoa Administrative Assistant to A & R In addition to light office duties Ms. Ochoa is responsible for screening out and searching for new artists via the Internet. Andrea also assists with hair and makeup for our photo shoots and videos. Her education includes art studies at "Chaffey Community College" and hair/makeup at "The Studio Makeup Academy" on the CBS Gower lot. |
